Engagement and Outreach Team

We believe that all students can be successful with the right support in place.

For students with more bespoke requirements, our Engagement and Outreach Team provides high levels of support and specialised personal timetables. This system works around each student’s individual needs and interests and can include home visits, work in the community and enrichment.

Outreach students benefit from access to nationally recognised qualifications as well as mentoring and support in developing emotional regulation and improving social skills. Many of our Outreach and Engagement students find themselves able to attend mainstream college, or work-based training upon completing their time with us.

Our flexible outreach programmes can include a wide range of subjects, from Sports, to Music, Hair and Beauty to Mechanics, Cooking, Duke of Edinburgh and Boxing in addition to core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.

Whatever you want to study, SMS can find a suitable programme for you.
