It is a real privilege to be the Headteacher of SMS Changing Lives School. At SMS we are proud of all our students, and the barriers they have overcome; we believe that all young people can flourish, no matter what their background or experience.
Our students are some of the most vulnerable in society and have often had a negative experience of school before coming to us. We are passionate in our desire to see them thrive; to experience success and develop confidence and strategies to overcome some of the challenges associated with their special educational needs.
We believe in supporting all our students to be the best that they can be. This means focussing on their social and emotional development as well as their academic achievement. We have great community links and a talented and diverse range of specialist staff who are all united in our aim to create a therapeutic and nurturing environment where everyone has the chance to shine.
