SMS Central is our Head Office and Alternative Provision base.
Students at Central enjoy small class sizes and specialist SEMH staff.
Specialist staff deliver core subjects in the morning, from Entry Level 1 right up to GCSEs with a wide range of vocational offers available in the afternoon. All subjects lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
The Ayres Road site benefits from a 3G football pitch, music recording studio, purpose-built salon, large student kitchen, as well as a state of the art gym and boxing ring. We also facilitate off-site construction and have our own full time Forest Schools teacher.
SMS Central is dedicated to meeting the holistic needs of our students. As such we have a sensory room and multi-faith prayer room on site as well as a dedicated wellbeing team, including a school counsellor, three specialist pastoral staff members and an Art therapist.
For more specific support needs, all students at SMS can be referred to the SMS bMindful therapeutic team of highly qualified psychologist and specialist therapists.
