J’s grandma says she is “so pleased” J has got “most of her confidence back, as she has had a hard time in the past.” J is trying to engage in a new course as she is interested in beauty. Her Grandma said J is “bubbly and happy when she comes home from school” She also said she thinks “it is good for her.”

D’s mum reports she is ‘really happy’ with the progress he is making. “He’s doing well since being at SMS and his behaviour has improved greatly at home also, especially this term.” Well done!

Careers Programme

SMS Changing Lives School works hard to prepare our students for life beyond school. In our dedicated careers lessons, students can access individual support regarding employment and career next steps. We have links with external careers services such as Positive Steps to ensure students have access to independent careers advice, and we support students in house with CV writing and interview skills workshops.
